Was thinking about Alec Soth and the exhibition Gathered Leaves I saw last year. In that exhibition he photographed people over a particular area of the US making character studies related to a specific area. It made me wonder how I want to go about photographing Chris Clayton – do I want to be aware of what I’m information i’m trying to get from these images or do I just take the shots and it become apparent as i’m shooting/afterwards. I guess perhaps it’s really a learning experience in terms of how you operate as a photographer.
